Hard-Coded Page Templates

I've updated the demo so that the templates for the hard-coded pages can be set as well. This required a additional table to be added to the database. As I mentioned in my last post, I also used Keyrock's idea of being able to set a template for the admin pages as well.

The only thing that I'm not so sure about right now is where I have this section located. I've put it in the "Pages" section of the admin panel. If you go to "Admin" then click on "View" next to Pages, you'll see the new "Hard-Coded Pages Templates" section. I'm not sure if it belongs here.

As I noted in the Forum topic over at snewscms... I would move this new section to the main "sNews Admin" panel. Under the "Pages - Add new - View" line, I would have a new line - "Fixed Pages - View" line... with "View" leading to the panel you now have in the "Pages View" panel. I would also re-name the panel title... from "Hard-Coded..." to "Fixed..." I think "Fixed" - meaning they cannot be edited or changed - would be clearer to non-technical users.
